Applications are open for Ignyte x ElevenLabs Future of Voice AI Challenge 2026. The Future of Voice AI Challenge 2026 is now accepting applications from innovative startups developing multilingual AI voice agents for banking, insurance, and government services.
Organized by Ignyte in partnership with ElevenLabs, the competition invites founders to design and build voice AI solutions capable of transforming customer service, fraud prevention, public service delivery, and regulated business operations across the United Arab Emirates.
Powered by Dubai’s official startup ecosystem under the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), the challenge offers finalists the opportunity to showcase their technology before institutional stakeholders while competing for USD 25,000 in ElevenLabs platform.
The Future of Voice AI Challenge is designed to accelerate startups building human-like conversational AI that solves real institutional problems. Rather than creating general-purpose chatbots, participants are expected to develop production-ready voice agents capable of operating within regulated environments using multilingual communication, knowledge retrieval, secure integrations, and auditable conversations.

Future of Voice AI Challenge Tracks
Ignyte × ElevenLabs are looking for startups to pitch a concept, then build a working voice agent on the ElevenLabs platform, in two tracks.
Track 1: Banking & Insurance
This track focuses on multilingual voice agents designed for highly regulated financial environments. Solutions should improve operational efficiency while maintaining compliance, transparency, and customer trust.
Example use cases include:
- Real-time fraud intervention through immediate multilingual customer verification.
- Early arrears and collections using compliant treatment strategies.
- Health insurance pre-authorisation intake and triage.
- End-to-end customer support during bereavement, illness, or job loss.
- Everyday multilingual banking and remittance enquiries.
Solutions must ensure that irreversible financial decisions remain under human authorization while routine processes are automated through AI.
Track 2: Government Services
The government track challenges startups to simplify complex public services using conversational AI.
Suggested use cases include:
- Proactive correction of visa, residency, permit, and licensing applications.
- Life-event orchestration across multiple government entities.
- Rights verification using published legal and regulatory information.
- Dispute prevention through rule-based information services.
- Status updates and multilingual citizen support.
The emphasis is on improving citizen experience while preserving human oversight for official decisions and approvals.
Application Process
STAGE 1 : THE IDEA CANVAS
- Stage 1 submissions are made on the ElevenLabs Idea Canvas, the five-page template issued with this brief. The canvas is the submission.
- Submissions not made on the canvas are not reviewed. Decks, documents, videos and attachments submitted in placeof the canvas are not assessed.
Fourteen boxes across three pages. Each box states its word limit and the criterion it is scored against:
- 01 · The Opportunity (boxes A–E): Submission details, the idea in one line, what breaks today, today’s baseline, and who buys this.
- 02 · The Agent (boxes F–I): The call flow in five steps, the ElevenLabs components you will use and why, how it integrates, and a six-row guardrail table.
- 03 · The Case (boxes J–N): Success metrics, risks, what will be working by 14 October, your team, and proof of build.
STAGE 2: BUILD SPRINT
The 20–30 shortlisted teams receive platform access and build a working agent against their use case.
Submit:
- A live, callable agent using test numbers only, or a hosted web or chat deployment.
- A recorded end-to-end demo of the primary call flow, plus at least one failure or escalation path.
- Your Agent Testing suite and results, including the pass rate across multiple runs and at least one tool-call test on a high-stakes action.
- Transcripts and post-call analysis for the demo conversations.
- A one-page architecture diagram and a short technical README.

Prizes are awarded as credits on the ElevenLabs platform.

Future of Voice AI Challenge Selection Criteria
Every concept must meet these non-negotiable requirements:
- Built on the ElevenLabs platform, with agent behaviour, voice, knowledge and evaluation configured on it.
- Multilingual by design — English and Arabic at minimum, with a defined route to the other languages in the caller base.
- Compliant with the ElevenLabs terms of use and Prohibited Use Policy by design.
- 100% digital integration capability, via documented APIs or webhooks.
- Recorded and transcribed end to end, so any conversation can be audited.
- Scalable to production volumes at a UAE institution: population scale on the government track, daily contact-centre volume on the financial track.
How To Apply for Future of Voice AI Challenge
- Step 1: Download the ElevenLabs Idea Canvas and choose one use case in either the Banking & Insurance or Government Services track.
- Step 2: Complete every box within the stated word limits.
- Step 3: Submit the completed canvas before 23 September. No late entries, and no other formats.
- Step 4: The top 20–30 teams are announced on 30 September and given access to build on the ElevenLabs platform.
- Step 5: Submit your working build, demo recording and test results by 14 October.
- Step 6: Five teams are selected on 19 October and invited to pitch at Demo Day.
