The Wicked Innovation Labs Ideathon is calling on innovators, founders, researchers and problem-solvers to identify Africa’s most pressing, unsolved problems. The Innovate Africa Fund backs innovators addressing the world’s most wicked problems through innovative and sustainable solutions. This year, they are pleased to launch our annual Wicked Innovation Prize Competition in partnership with the Innovate Africa Foundation. At the Innovate Africa Fund, they believe the best innovations start with the right questions. That’s why in collaboration with the Innovate Africa Foundation, they are launching the Wicked Innovation Labs Ideathon—a call to identify Africa’s biggest, unsolved problems. They are asking investors, founders, researchers, innovators, ecosystem leaders, and problem-solvers across Africa to submit a well-defined problem statement before the deadline on the 31st of March, 2025.
They are not looking for startup ideas. They are looking for clear, well-defined problem statements that could potentially define and redefine industries, reshape economies, and change millions of lives.
