Giving Joy is currently accepting grant applications to support Women ages 18 and up. Giving Joy Grant Program are one-time micro grants (maximum $500.00 USD). Women ages 18 and up from any country in the world are eligible to apply.

Giving Joy Grant Focus Areas

Your business/organization/idea must focus on women, girls and/or families.

Funding Information

Grants are up to $500.00 (five hundred) USD. The award amount will be determined by Giving Joy based on proposed activities and availability of funding.
The grant period is six months.

Uses of the Fund

You can use the grant to start a new business, or expand your existing business. You can also use the grant to start or expand a nonprofit, non-governmental organization (NGO), charity, or propose a specific activity or project you would like to implement.

Eligible Activities for Giving Joy Grant

You can propose activities in any field, trade, occupation, or craft.
All activities must be legal!
Your proposed grant activities must have a social benefit to your community and must go beyond financial aspects of your business. The more social impact you can illustrate through your idea—the better and the greater your chances of winning the grant.

Ineligible Activities

They will not support activities related to the purchase of merchandise, stock, advertisements, or marketing for personal use.

Who can apply for Giving Joy Grant

Women ages 18 and up.
Women from the following countries (in alphabetical order) are eligible to apply for a Giving Joy grant:
Eligible Africa Countries: Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cabo Verde, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho,Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali,Mauritania, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, São Tomé and Príncipe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
