The Halton Foundation Grant Programme supports non-profit organisations worldwide working on indoor environmental quality (IEQ), indoor air quality, thermal comfort, and human health outcomes. It offers funding of up to $30,000 per year for research, solution development, and pilot programmes that improve indoor environments and reduce health risks linked to poor air quality.

    The programme welcomes applications from eligible organizations worldwide and provides funding for projects that advance healthier, safer, and more sustainable indoor environments. Grants are awarded annually to non-profit organizations researching indoor environmental quality and human wellbeing.

    Grant Details

    • Halton Foundation offers both single-year and multi-year grants (up to two years), depending on the scope and long-term impact of the proposed research.
    • Up to $30,000 USD per grant year
    • Multi-year funding (up to two years) may be available for eligible projects.

    Halton Foundation Grant Focus Areas

    The Foundation supports projects that focus on:

    • Indoor air quality and ventilation
    • Thermal comfort and indoor environmental conditions
    • Human health and wellbeing in indoor environments
    • Solutions that improve indoor environmental quality
    • Research addressing illnesses linked to poor indoor environments, including respiratory diseases and asthma.

    Eligibility Criteria

    The Halton Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to improving indoor environmental quality. Grants are awarded to non-profit organizations that research improvements in human wellbeing in indoor environments, or that develop solutions for enhanced indoor environmental quality.

    There are no geographic limitations; organizations from any country are welcome to apply.

      • Open to organizations anywhere in the world
    • IEQ research or solutions
      • Projects improving indoor air quality, thermal conditions, or occupant health
    • 10% overhead cap – non-negotiable
      • Max 10% of project costs for admin and overhead. No exceptions.
