Applications are open for African Plant Nutrition Scholar Award Program 2026. The African Plant Nutrition Scholar Award was implemented in 2020 to develop and encourage success within African graduate student programs specializing in the sciences of plant nutrition and management of crop nutrients.
The award is implemented by the African Plant Nutrition Institute (APNI) and supported by OCP Nutricrops and Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P).
The African Plant Nutrition Institute (APNI) is a not-for-profit research and education organization founded in 2019 and based in Benguérir, Morocco. Our mission is enhanced plant nutrition for a resilient and food-secure Africa.
African Plant Nutrition Scholar Award Program Benefits
- This award supports graduate students conducting research in plant nutrition to advance sustainable agriculture in Africa.
- The program offers $2,000 (USD) scholarships to eligible students.
Eligibility Criteria
- Currently enrolled and attending a degree-granting institution located in Africa.
- Candidates for M.Sc., M.Phil., or Ph.D. degrees enrolled in a program of graduate study as of the application deadline. M.Sc. and M.Phil students must be in the second year of study.
- Applicants who have already completed their degrees are ineligible.
- Past winners of the Award are not eligible.
