The Encourage Science Initiative (ESI) Undergraduate Research Grant 2025 provides financial support to STEM undergraduates in Nigerian universities to conduct their final-year research projects. The grant aims to foster innovation, build research capacity, and empower young scholars in STEM.
ESI Undergraduate Research Grant Benefit
- Grant of up to ₦100,000 to support final-year undergraduate research projects.
- How Long Will the Award Last? One-time grant for the duration of the final-year research project (Sept 2025 – Feb 2026).
Eligibility Criteria
- STEM undergraduates in Nigerian universities
- Must be in final year by the application deadline
- Must have at least a Second Class Upper CGPA
- Must provide a personal statement (max. 250 words) outlining project details, justification, and budget (≤ ₦100,000)
- Must submit a supporting letter from the supervisor.
