Heritage

The Heritage Management Organization  is launching a new call for concept notes for small grants ($5000-$50000) for organizations, groups, and individuals working with heritage in Africa.

The grants are part of our Heritage Management Project – Africa (HerMaP-Africa)  which is funded by the Mellon Foundation’s Humanities in Place program. They will fund projects that focus on the protection of and/or promotion of local heritage for socio-economic development in the continent. (more…)

Project Innovation to Market

Project Innovation to Market Program is designed to create a sustainable innovation environment in Nigeria by integrating support systems. By working together with researchers and innovators under the auspices of an innovation consortium, it seeks to harness ideas in Nigeria.

Do you have a terrific innovation that you think can disrupt the current normal, solve current societal problems, market processes efficient? Then come on board to the innovation-to-market Programme.

Project Innovation to Market supports innovations from research, and also innovations resulting from non-procedural activities.

The objective of this project is to allocate resources so that inventions, regardless of their stage, can be fostered until they are ready for the market. When everything is set, the inventor collaborates with a focused project team to design the commercialization strategies.

In order to expose innovators to training on how to build bankable firms that may attract large investments, this project will also develop a self-sustaining incubator program for innovators who wish to take their innovations to market via a startup.

Innovative ideas from Nigerian youth, women, and people with disabilities will receive special consideration (PWD).

Eligibility Requirements

Project Innovation to Market will support innovators with:

  • Training
  • Intellectual Property (IP) filing
  • Minimum Viable Product Development
  • Business Registration
  • Seed funding for spinoffs/start-ups and numerous other resources.
