KASA CYCLE 51 APPLICATION FOR WOMEN’S RIGHTS ORGANIZATIONS (Grants $30000)

    Are you a women’s rights organization working to address sexual violence in Ghana, Nigeria or Senegal? KASA cycle 51 organized by AWDF is accepting applications from interested women-led organizations that have been registered for at least three years (before April 2020). AWDF defines a woman-led organization as an organization whose Board Chair and Chief Executive/Director are both women or non-binary, and where at least 70% of the board and staff members of the organization are women or non-binary.

    The aim of KASA initiative is to achieve to following outcomes:

    • Positive attitudes and behaviours towards women’s bodily integrity promoted
    • Improved responses to emergencies and adequate support provided to survivors/families
    • Leadership by and higher profile of women’s rights organizations at the forefront of ending sexual violence
    • Increased awareness and action around cultural, religious, and social narratives on sexual violence by responsible stakeholders.

    Is your organization’s work contributing to the outcomes of the KASA! Initiative in Ghana, Nigeria or Senegal? If so, AWDF invites you to submit an application in response to this call for applications.

    Application Criteria

    • Your organization must be base in Ghana, Nigeria or Senegal
    • For organizations in Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal who intend to apply for the KASA grant, should note that the KASA grant is specifically for work around sexual violence issues in Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal.

    Benefit

    • You can access a grant of up to USD30,000 per year for two years if your 2022 confirmed income can support the yearly request..
    • Please note that AWDF can provide funding to a maximum of 50% of an applicant organization’s confirmed income for 2022 per year. For example, if your confirmed income for 2022 was USD20,000, you can apply for a maximum of up to USD10,000 per year for two years making USD20,000 for two years.

    The deadline for submitting applications is 12pm GMT on 25th April 2023
