The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has launched the Inter-Agency Innovation Competition & Awards to stimulate innovation, creativity, and collaboration among Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) of the Federal Government of Nigeria.

This initiative is designed as a strategic platform for public servants to develop and showcase technology-driven solutions that address national challenges and improve public service delivery. The competition aligns with NASENI’s statutory mandate to strengthen indigenous industrialization, promote job creation, and accelerate national development through science and engineering infrastructure.

Purpose of the Program

The core objectives of the NASENI Inter-Agency Innovation Competition & Awards are to:

Encourage innovative thinking within the public sector
Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among MDAs
Identify practical, scalable solutions to Nigeria’s development challenges
Promote the use of science, engineering, and technology in governance

NASENI Inter-Agency Innovation Competition Focus Areas

MDAs are invited to submit innovative solutions in key national priority sectors, including but not limited to:

Health – digital health solutions, medical technologies, service optimization
Agriculture – mechanization, agri-tech, food security innovations
Education – e-learning platforms, educational technology, skills development
Infrastructure – smart infrastructure, energy solutions, transportation systems
Other Public Service Areas where science and technology can enhance service delivery

All submissions should demonstrate clear public value and impact.
