Applications are open for O’Shaughnessy Fellowships & Grants 2026. The O’Shaughnessy Fellowships & Grants are a globally competitive funding program supporting visionary individuals who are advancing science, technology, art, and human progress.

The program provides equity-free funding to builders, researchers, and creatives working on ambitious, world-changing ideas—without corporate control, academic gatekeeping, or ownership requirements. Backed by O’Shaughnessy Ventures (OSV), the initiative is designed to fund people rather than institutions and to give innovators the freedom to pursue bold, unconventional work.

O’Shaughnessy Fellowships & Grants Program Details

The O’Shaughnessy Fellowships & Grants are a one-year program supporting individuals with high-impact ideas that have the potential to push civilization forward.
Selected Fellows receive $100,000 for 12 months, while additional awardees receive Grants of at least $10,000, alongside access to OSV’s global network of founders, investors, and experts.
There is no equity taken, no requirement to form a company, and no prescribed roadmap. Fellows retain full ownership of their work.

Eligibility Criteria

The O’Shaughnessy Fellowships & Grants are open to adults worldwide from any background or discipline. Applicants range from teenagers to individuals in their seventies, and come from over 160 countries.

OSV is seeking individuals who demonstrate:

Self-Directed Initiative
- Applicants who independently build, experiment, and execute without needing permission or structured instructions.
Proven Problem-Solving Ability
- Applicants who have already created meaningful work, whether through research, creative production, community impact, or technical innovation.
Relentless Resourcefulness
- Applicants who demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and the ability to make progress despite limited resources or constraints.

Application Timeline

What to expect from the application process.

Stage 1 · Application Window :January 1 – April 30, 2026
- After you submit the application form, we’ll review on a rolling basis—so the earlier you apply, the sooner you hear back. Most applicants get an update within 30 days.
Stage 2 · Intro Calls with the Team: February 1 – May 30, 2026
- Shortlisted applicants hop on a call with our team. This is your chance to think out loud, share your vision, show us how you solve problems and ask us any questions you have
Stage 3 · Deeper Conversations: Through May 30, 2026
- Meet more of the OSV team and extended network. Each conversation brings you closer to a decision. Final selections announced by June 1st, 2026.
