Apply for Pledge for Nature Launchpad 2025. This Mentorship program is open to individuals aged 18 to 28 years old from anywhere in Africa. This fully funded program is organized by the Youth for Environmental Conservation Initiative, formerly Friends of Nature Network, and supported by Global Changemakers.

Our vision is to empower young African climate founders, activists, and social entrepreneurs by equipping them with the skills to lead high-performing teams, attract strategic partnerships, secure funding, and scale their impact-driven initiatives across the continent.

    Pledge for Nature Launchpad Benefits

    All selected mentees will receive:

    • One-on-one mentorship with a seasoned environmental professional from Africa.
    • Solid guidance to lead environmental initiatives and scale your work.
    • An opportunity to implement the Pledge for Nature workshop in your community.
    • Access to the Project Management course by Global Changemakers. Completion of this course does not guarantee a 1000 USD grant to scale your work, but it is a requirement to be eligible to apply for it.
    • Resources and toolkits to expand your project’s impact.
    • Certificate of completion at the end of the program, having fulfilled all requirements.

In addition, mentees are eligible to enter a raffle for:

    • Three private, one-on-one intensive coaching sessions on fundraising and pitching with Stanley Anigbogu, who has over 6 years of experience in climate innovation and technology.
    • A micro-grant of 100 USD to scale your project.

    Areas of Interest

Over the eight weeks, we have developed a curriculum to guide Mentees, covering topics in these areas:

    • Design Thinking: Innovating with empathy and user-centered solutions.
    • Project Management: Building frameworks for efficient and effective project execution.
    • Storytelling and Social Media Branding: Crafting authentic narratives to amplify impact.
    • Team Management: Leading, motivating, and sustaining mission-driven teams.
    • Grant Writing: Developing compelling funding proposals.
    • Systems Thinking: Understanding and navigating complexity in environmental action.
    • Ethical Leadership: Leading with values, integrity, and responsibility.
    • Building Strategic Partnerships: Cultivating relationships for sustainable growth.

These focus areas are guides rather than limitations. Mentors are encouraged to engage broadly and flexibly based on the Mentees’ evolving needs.
