This fund is part of Selar’s Tuition Support Project, which aims to help final-year students in Nigeria by providing financial aid for their tuition fees. Selar is offering this support to reduce the burden of high tuition costs and to give students the opportunity to focus on their education and future.
Selar Tuition Fund Goal
To empower Nigerian students by providing N5,000,000 in tuition support to 50 final year students through our Tuition Fund project.
Objectives
To support 50 final year students with NGN 100,000 each giving them foundational knowledge about digital products.
Why organization is doing this
- The staggering increase in school fees across Nigeria, making education inaccessible for many.
- 9% Nigerians faces the highest dropout rate in Africa, largely attributed to economic hardships and escalating tuition fees.
- 80% of Nigeria’s unemployed have only completed secondary school or below.
Eligibility Criteria for Selar Tuition Fund
To be eligible, you must:
- Must be a student living and studying in Nigeria
- Must be a final year student enrolled in an accredited tertiary institution (public, select private, polytechnic)
- A clear statement of purpose (not more than 250 word.)
- CGPA of 3.0/Cumulative grade of 65% or higher with academic records as an attestation
- Must have financial or economic need
