The WeWork Green and Decent Jobs for Youth Program 2026 is now open for applications—offering young African innovators the opportunity to scale environmentally responsible ventures through training, mentorship, and seed funding.

WeWork – Green and Decent Jobs for Youth is a 24‑month initiative implemented in collaboration with Enabel, the Belgian Agency for International Cooperation, under the Global Gateway strategy; funded by the European Union and Belgium. The project focuses on empowering youth-led businesses operating in the green and circular economy (CGE) by providing incubation, financing, and technical support.

The program targets early-stage entrepreneurs who are building climate-positive businesses and want to strengthen their product, business model, and market readiness. And aims to empower youth to build sustainable livelihoods while supporting environmental protection and the circular economy.

What is Circular and Green Economy (CGE)?

Businesses that promote sustainability, reduce waste, use renewable or efficient energy systems, regenerate natural ecosystems, or add value through resource optimization.

Examples include:

Green construction and eco‑building materials
Renewable energy, Sustainable tourism
Regenerative agriculture and value‑addition
Aquaculture, Horticulture, Coffee & Cocoa
Waste-to-product (composting, bio‑fertilizer)
Refurbishment, reuse, recycling
Other green & eco-friendly solutions

WeWork Green and Decent Jobs for Youth Benefits

Selected entrepreneurs will receive:

Practical business training focused on green and circular economy ventures

Business development support to refine models and strengthen market positioning
Seed funding opportunities to scale validated solutions

Eligibility Criteria

The program is open to:

Young entrepreneurs aged 18–35
Founders running early-stage green or eco-friendly businesses
Ventures with a working prototype or clear proof of concept
Innovators developing solutions in:
- Renewable energy
- Circular economy
- Recycling and waste management
- Sustainable agriculture
- Water and environmental conservation
- Eco-friendly products and services
Applicants who are committed to building climate-smart, impact-driven ventures
