Applications are open for ABF GrowHer Agribusiness Accelerator Program 2026. The Agribusiness e-Academy is pleased to introduce the GrowHer Agribusiness Accelerator Program, an 8-week blended learning initiative designed to support women in agribusiness and those exploring new opportunities within the agricultural sector.
Implemented under the Agri-Business Facility for Africa (ABF) Project, this programme aims to strengthen women’s participation in the sector by combining digital learning, expert mentorship, practical application, and market-oriented skills development. GrowHer goes beyond traditional training by creating a clear pathway from learning to action, providing participants with the knowledge, confidence, and tools needed to build sustainable and scalable agribusiness ventures.
Why GrowHer?
Women are the backbone of agricultural production and food systems. Yet, many face systemic barriers that limit their transition from subsistence activities to profitable, commercial enterprises.
GrowHer addresses these gaps by providing:
- Targeted Training: Access to high-quality technical and business management curriculum.
- Digital Empowerment: Bridging the gap in digital learning resources.
- Networking & Visibility: Exposure to markets, industry experts, and a community of like-minded women.
- Strategic Growth: Support in developing structured business models and actionable growth strategies.
ABF GrowHer Agribusiness Accelerator Program Pillars
The GrowHer Accelerator is built around three core pillars:
- Knowledge (Agribusiness e-Academy): Participants engage with a curated selection of e-Academy courses, including Agriculture as a Business, Climate-Smart Agriculture, Business Model Canvas, AgriCanvas, Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), and specialized modules on Exporting to the EU and EUDR compliance.
- Expert Mentorship: Participants benefit from live, expert-led virtual sessions. These sessions offer practical insights, real-world experiences, and direct guidance on applying course knowledge to individual operations.
- Market-Oriented Growth: We help participants move toward “Market Readiness”—the ability to understand customer needs, improve operational efficiency, and prepare for sustainable business partnerships.
Programme Structure
The accelerator follows an intensive 8-week journey organized into four phases. Each phase combines self-paced digital learning on the Agribusiness e-Academy with interactive expert sessions, peer reflection, and hands-on business application.
