Applications are open for Life Baker Rising Stars Academic Competition 2026. Life Baker Rising Stars Academic Competition is a free academic competition that gives outstanding students the opportunity to win scholarships worth up to ₦20 million in academic value.
The Rising Stars Academic Competition rewards 20 brilliant students — those in Basic 6, JSS1, JSS2 & SS1 today. The top prize covers school fees to graduation — nothing to pay. Entry is completely free.
Organised by the Life Baker Group of Schools, the competition is open to eligible students from schools across Nigeria and is designed to identify and reward academic excellence through a fair, computer-based assessment. Registration is completely free.
Bright students from different schools come together for a disciplined, CBT-based assessment that measures knowledge, reasoning, accuracy, speed, comprehension and academic maturity — for children ready to go beyond the regular classroom.

- Junior Rising Star
- For pupils moving up from Basic 6 / Primary 6 into JSS1.
- Intermediate Rising Star
- For students moving up from JSS1 or JSS2 into JSS2 or JSS3.
- Senior Rising Star
- For students moving up from SS1 into SS2.
Assessment Areas
The CBT-based competition will test participants in:
- English Comprehension
- Mathematics
- Quantitative Reasoning
- Verbal Reasoning
- Basic Science
- Critical Thinking and Problem Solving
- Speed and Accuracy.
Competition Benefits

Note: The scholarships are awarded as academic value only within the Life Baker Group of Schools. They are not cash prizes and cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students currently in Basic 6, JSS1, JSS2 or SS1 — from any school (incl. Life Baker Basic 6)
- They compete for their September class: JSS1, JSS2, JSS3 or SS2
- Current Life Baker secondary students aren’t eligible for prizes this edition

The competition follows these stages:

- Access to preparation resources
- Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Same-day release of results
- Winner verification and announcement
- Scholarship award presentation.
