Applications are open for She Code Africa Laptop Scholarship Cycle 3. The She Code Africa Laptop Scholarship is an initiative to support women and girls pursuing careers or learning paths in technology. For many African women, the journey into tech begins with passion, and lives on with access, yet the biggest barrier is simple: a laptop. Without one, women are excluded from advanced opportunities.
The She Code Africa Laptop Scholarship was created to change this. By providing laptops to women in our community, we remove one of the first and most critical obstacles to learning. These laptops become more than devices; they are bridges to training programs, mentorship, remote jobs, and entrepreneurial opportunities.
She Code Africa Laptop Scholarship Benefits
The Laptop Scholarship is open to women and girls passionate about pursuing opportunities in technology.
Selected recipients receive:
- A personal laptop for learning and building projects.
- Access to apply and participate in She Code Africa Academy and and mentorship programs.
- Support in pursuing full time jobs, entrepreneurial projects, or certifications.
Who Can Apply
The scholarship is open to:
- African women interested in technology
- Beginners or intermediate learners in tech
- Individuals facing financial or resource constraints
- Applicants committed to learning and building a career in tech
Candidates should demonstrate a clear interest in software development, data science, design, or other tech fields.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply, applicants should:
- Be female and based in Africa
- Show commitment to learning a tech skill
- Demonstrate need for a laptop
- Be willing to actively participate in the She Code Africa community
Priority may be given to applicants with limited access to learning tools.
