Applications are open for WARP’s Artisan Grant Program 2026. Are you a textile artisan looking to grow your work and strengthen your business? WARP is offering grants to support makers around the world working in handmade, fiber-based traditions.WARP’s Artisan Grant Program supports textile artisans and their communities by offering small grants that prioritize preservation of cultural heritage and foster economic independence.

Established in 2020, their program awards approximately $20,000 annually in the form of grants ranging from $500 – $1,000. Thanks to their generous community, WARP have awarded 80+ grants to textile artisans in 30+ countries as of 2025!

WARP’s Artisan Grant Program Focus Areas

WARP is particularly interested in grants in the following areas:

Raw materials (fiber, yarn, dye garden supplies, wood to build a loom, etc.), which support your proposed project
Tools/Equipment (sewing machines, looms, digital cameras etc.)
Training (design, business, technical, etc.)
Marketing (craft fair stands, displays, brochures, catalogs, website, social media, etc.)

WARP does NOT support:

Startup expenses for new projects
Groups that create mass-produced items in factories
Designers/Exporters/Importers who do not directly work with artisans

Grant Details

Individual applicants may request up to $500
Groups may apply for up to $1,000.

Eligibility Criteria:

Textile artisans from any country are welcome to apply.
You can be an individual, association, cooperative, or small business.
Your product must be fiber-based, handmade, and not mass-produced.

How To Apply for WARP’s Artisan Grant Program

Applicants must complete the entire application, which will ask you to explain your project in detail, including specific information about what you want to do, how you want to do it, how much it will cost, and how it will help you grow your business. Please include a detailed budget for how you will use the funds. You must also provide at least FIVE photos with your application.
